Training & Supporting Teachers

At Far Away Friends, we believe on the of the most effective ways to empower and uplift youth is by investing in the people who work to see them succeed — their teachers. Through Global Leaders Primary School, we are providing gainful employment and teacher housing to 30 teachers and school support staff who’ve dedicated their careers to helping their students succeed.

Upskilling Rural Teachers

Supporting teachers across our Sister School Network

Unfortunately, teachers are often the most overlooked and undervalued members of a community. In places like rural Amolatar District, public school teachers often go months without pay and even years without professional development or other kinds of trainings. Through our Sister Schools Network, we offer free teacher trainings up to 3 times/year to educators across Amolatar who otherwise wouldn’t have access to this resource. Working together with local leaders and education specialists, we upskill public school teachers by offering a variety of workshops from classroom management to child abuse awareness and prevention.

Impacting teachers, transforming education.

Hear from teachers from across our Sister School Network about their experience and the impact of our Child Protection & Abuse Prevention training!
